Five steps

From sign-up to sent

Everything before issuing is free, and so is everything after it.

  1. Step 1: Create your account

    Free

Sign up with your email address and a password. You can try the generator without an account, but you need one to save drafts and issue invoices.

    • Use an email address you check: replies from support go there.
    • New accounts start with no tokens. Drafting is free, so you can set everything up first.

    Create an account

  2. Step 2: Add your details

    Free

Fill in “Your details” in the generator. They are saved to your account when you save a draft or issue, and filled in for you next time.

    • Company name and VAT or company number
    • Address, city and country
    • Bank details for payment: IBAN, BIC and bank name
    • Your logo (PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP)

    Open the generator

  3. Step 3: Get some tokens

    1,000 tokens = £10 (€11.80)

Tokens are only used when you issue an invoice. 1,000 tokens cover 100 invoices. There’s no subscription and tokens don’t expire.

    • Online payments are paused for now. Contact support with the amount you need and we’ll top up your account by hand.
    • Your balance and every top-up show in your token history on the dashboard.

    Billing & tokens

  4. Step 4: Draft your invoice

    Free

Add the client and the lines. Choose the region, the currency (GBP or EUR) and the VAT treatment, and the rates fill in on each line. The total updates as you type.

    • Save as many drafts as you like. Drafts can be edited until you issue them.
    • Preview the invoice in any of the three templates: Plain, Ledger or Stub.

    Start an invoice

  5. Step 5: Issue and send it

    10 tokens · 10p

Issuing uses 10 tokens. The invoice keeps its number and its content locks: from then on only its status can change. That stops a paid invoice being rewritten into another one.

    • Download the PDF or email it to your client with the PDF attached. Both are free, as often as you need.
    • Mark the invoice as Sent or Paid from your dashboard.
